A run club from New York ( Old Man Run Club ) and a run club from Los Angeles ( Koreatown Run Club ) came together over Easter long weekend to form a relay team for "The Speed Project" : a non-stop race from the Santa Monica Pier to the Las Vegas strip.
From 4:00am on Friday to 9:51pm on Saturday, 12 runners journeyed 300 miles from the ocean and through the desert for 41 hours and 51 minutes, together as one team. As a photographer it was a privilege to document this inspiring group, running in pursuit of the present moment — over and over again. This is a collection of images is presented in a non-linear sequence to represent the collective sentiment that 'the journey itself' was the true destination.
A selection of photographs captured on iPhone 15 Pro Max were published as a feature on Apple Newsroom.
